Custom shower doors & enclosures in West Palm Beach, FL

Six ways to put glass around a shower, and the right one depends on your walls, your floor plan and your budget more than on fashion. Here is how they differ — and every one is measured for your opening and installed by New Shower Doors Unlimited.

The same walk-in enclosure seen across the bathroom, its fixed glass panel spanning the full opening beside a freestanding tub, with a matte black ceiling rain head and hand shower, fluted beige tile, a lit recessed niche, a white hexagon mosaic shower floor and a linear drain

Which one suits your bathroom

Most people start from a photograph of a door they like. The bathroom usually has the final say. These are the situations that decide it most often.

Not sure? That is what the measure is for. We look at the walls, what is behind the tile and how the water will run, and tell you which door the opening will take before you choose anything.

How an installation goes

  1. We measure the opening at several heights, check how far the walls run out of plumb, and find out what is behind the tile.
  2. You choose glass and hardware — thickness, clear or low-iron, and a finish matched to the fixtures already in the room.
  3. The glass is made to your measurements. Tempered glass cannot be trimmed afterwards, so the measuring is the job.
  4. We install and seal it, usually in a single day. Leave the shower about 24 hours before using it.

We work across Palm Beach, Broward and Martin counties. See the areas we cover, or look through finished work.

Common questions

Which type of shower door is best?

There is no single best type, only the best one for a particular bathroom. Frameless glass gives the most open look but asks the most of the walls. Semi-frameless keeps most of that look at a lower price. Sliding doors need no swing clearance, which matters in a small room. Framed doors are the most economical, and the usual choice over a tub. We tell you which suits your opening after we have measured it.

How long does a shower door installation take?

Two visits. The first is the measure, which takes under an hour. The glass is then made to those measurements, and the installation itself is usually a single day for a standard residential enclosure. Allow about 24 hours after installation before using the shower, so the silicone can cure.

Do you install shower doors on a tub?

Yes. Framed sliding doors are the most common choice over a bathtub, and a fixed frameless panel or a hinged door are options where the tub and the walls allow them.

Can you work on a door someone else installed?

Yes — we repair, re-glaze and replace enclosures whoever installed them.
